ImTranslator Plugin - ‘hot keys’, from: Dan

I cant get any ‘hot keys’ to work. My spanish friend told me to highlight the spanish words with the mouse, and to press Alt and 1 at the same time to get a sentence, word or phrase translated. It doesn’t work. can you please help me with this?
You can translate by pressing the TAB key followed by the SPACE key instead of having to press the translation button.
