Use the web-based virtual keyboard to input text in languages not supported by your computer. The virtual keyboard offers more than 40 languages and keyboard layouts.
Click on
or
icon to open the on-screen keyboard.
Open the dropdown menu to choose a desired keyboard layout from the list.
Click inside a desired text area to enter the text.
Enter characters by clicking the keys of the on-screen keyboard with your mouse. You may find it more convenient to type on the physical keyboard. In this case remember that to type in English language you have to switch the Virtual Keyboard back to the English layout.
To type an accented character, select an accent key
(called “dead key”) first and then the actual character. The accent key on the virtual keyboard is represented by a circle with an accent on top. Some language layouts have more than one dead keys to implement various accents.
Note: Virtual keyboard has limited functionalities in Netscape 6.x/7.x browsers: text input is supported from the on-screen keyboard only, the text is added to the end of the line.
Due to compatibility problems, Virtual keyboard is unavailable for Internet Explorer 5.1 for Macintosh and Netscape 4.7 for Windows.
