Decoder is available for the Russian language pairs only.
With Russian as original language, Decoder works as a converter of unreadable text to the standard Cyrillic Windows encoding.
Decoder solves the problems related to an incorrect display of Russian characters in the emails, web applications, etc. As a result users may not be able to read and translate the Russian text.
Decoder identifies the encoding of a Russian text, and converts it, if needed, into the Windows standard encoding (Cyrillic Windows) using sophisticated parsing algorithms. It detects the following encodings: KOI-8, DOS, Mac, ISO, UTF-8, Unicode, Russian Transliterated.
Click on
or
icon to open the Decoder if the Russian text you need to translate doesn’t display Russian characters correctly.
The original text will be transferred automatically to the Decoder window. The program will performs the conversion and display the list of conversion variants with the most accurate result listed first.
Select the encoding that displays the Russian text correctly.
Click Replace to transfer the converted text back to the translation window.
If you check the Auto function on the tools panel, the Decoder will automatically check the language encoding and perform necessary conversions.
With Russian as a target language, Auto Decoder function works as a converter of the original Russian text to Russian transliterated (represented in Latin characters).
The transliteration module uses a conversion algorithm adapted as close as possible to the common transliteration rules. Decoder can perform an opposite conversion from Russian transliterated text to Russian Cyrillic.
The Decoder toolbar has the following buttons:
Copy - Copy content of the text area.
Paste - Paste content to the text area.
Cut - Cut content of the text area.
Delete - Clear content of the text area.
Keyboard - Open the Virtual Keyboard.
